Signage for the exhibition “L’art ‘dégénéré’. Le procès de l’art moderne sous le nazisme” at the Musée Picasso, Paris. Scenography: Lucie Gautrain.
In contrast to the ideologically charged aesthetic of the 1937 Nazi exhibition, this exhibition’s graphic design is minimalist and functional. It uses the Fugue typeface, inspired by Futura, whose creator, Paul Renner, was dismissed by the Nazis in the early 1930s for his modernist views.
